These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of WP Ghost services, websites, and software products provided by MINBO QRE SRL (Company No. 37814865) (“WP Ghost”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing wpghost.com or using our products and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use our services. If you are using our services on behalf of a company or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

1. About WP Ghost

WP Ghost (also known as Hide My WP Ghost) is a WordPress security software provider offering licensed digital products and related services. Our products are designed to reduce the attack surface of WordPress installations and assist in hack prevention.

All WP Ghost products distributed via our website or the WordPress directory are licensed under the GPLv2 license, where applicable. Proprietary components, premium features, and non-GPL materials remain the exclusive intellectual property of MINBO QRE SRL.

WP Ghost products are tools that assist in improving website security. They do not guarantee complete protection against all attacks, breaches, or vulnerabilities. Use of our products does not replace the need for regular backups, hosting-level security, or other security practices.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use our website or services. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

By creating an account, you confirm that:

  • The information you provide is accurate, complete, and current.
  • You will maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and are solely responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You are not located in a country subject to international sanctions or trade restrictions.
  • You are not on any government-issued prohibited or restricted parties list.

Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit consent.

3. Accounts and Membership

To access purchased products, you must create an account at account.wpghost.com.

You agree to:

  • Provide complete and accurate registration information and keep it updated.
  • Notify us immediately at our official contact form if you suspect any unauthorized use of or access to your account.
  • Not share, resell, sublicense, or transfer your account credentials or access to any third party.
  • Not create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits, licensing restrictions, or suspensions.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice where the violation is serious or ongoing. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account where you have failed to maintain adequate credential security.

4. Licensing and Use of Products

Upon purchase and successful activation, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the WP Ghost product in accordance with:

  • The specific plan you have selected and paid for.
  • The activation scope (number of websites, features, and duration) defined at the time of purchase.
  • These Terms of Service.

Ownership of all WP Ghost products, code (excluding GPL-licensed components), designs, and associated materials remains exclusively with MINBO QRE SRL. The license grants usage rights only and does not transfer any intellectual property ownership to you.

Your license is valid only for the duration of your active subscription or, in the case of Lifetime Deal plans, for as long as WP Ghost continues to offer the product, subject to these Terms. We reserve the right to discontinue products with reasonable notice.

Licenses may not be resold, reassigned, or transferred without written authorization from WP Ghost.

5. Website Connection Limits (Agency & High-Volume Plans)

Certain WP Ghost plans allow connection of multiple websites under a single subscription. To maintain infrastructure stability, fair usage, and support quality, each subscription may connect a maximum of 1,000 websites. This limit applies to all agency and high-volume plans. Lifetime Deal customers who purchased prior to 1st January 2026 under an ‘unlimited websites’ marketing offer are covered separately under the LTD paragraph below.

Customers who purchased a plan marketed as ‘unlimited websites’ prior to 1st January 2026 will be grandfathered at their original terms until their subscription expires or renews. Upon renewal after 1st January 2026, the 1,000-website limit applies. We will notify affected customers by email no later than 30 days before their renewal date.

Lifetime Deal (LTD) plans purchased prior to 1st January 2026 under ‘unlimited websites’ terms will have the 1,000-website limit applied with a minimum of 60 days’ written notice by email. WP Ghost will offer reasonable accommodation to LTD customers actively exceeding 1,000 connections at the time of enforcement, which may include a discounted plan upgrade, a phased transition period, or a pro-rata refund at WP Ghost’s discretion. If no agreement is reached within the notice period, WP Ghost reserves the right to enforce the connection limit.

WP Ghost reserves the right to modify technical limits where necessary to protect service integrity.

Attempts to bypass usage limits, including through multiple accounts, automated provisioning, or technical workarounds, may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.

6. Agency Plan Restrictions

Agency and multi-site plans are intended exclusively for web professionals managing websites under an active, legitimate client relationship.

The following are strictly prohibited under agency plans:

  • Reselling WP Ghost licenses as standalone products to end users.
  • Redistributing account access or credentials outside of a direct, active client relationship.
  • Using agency plans to undercut or compete with WP Ghost’s own pricing in a manner that constitutes unfair competition.
  • Providing white-label access to WP Ghost features without written authorization.

Agencies are solely responsible for all websites connected under their subscription, including ensuring that their clients’ use complies with these Terms. Violations by connected websites may result in suspension of the entire agency account.

7. Payments and Billing

All payments for WP Ghost products and services are processed via authorized third-party payment providers, including Paddle.com, who act as the Merchant of Record for applicable transactions.

By completing a purchase, you agree to:

  • The pricing, billing cycle, and renewal terms displayed at the time of purchase.
  • Automatic subscription renewals at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Responsibility for any currency conversion fees or charges imposed by your financial institution or card issuer.
  • Providing accurate and valid payment information and keeping it updated to avoid service interruption.

Failure to complete or maintain payment may result in immediate suspension of licenses and access to services, without prior notice.

All prices displayed include applicable taxes unless explicitly stated otherwise. WP Ghost reserves the right to adjust pricing with reasonable advance notice. Price changes will not apply to active subscription periods already paid for.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds are governed exclusively by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

Cancelling a subscription stops future automatic renewals but does not entitle you to a refund of any amounts already paid, unless otherwise stated in our Refund Policy or required by applicable law.

Where you are entitled to a refund under applicable consumer protection law, that entitlement is not affected by these Terms.

Digital products that have been downloaded or activated may not be eligible for refund except where required by law. We encourage you to review our Refund Policy and test the free version of WP Ghost before purchasing.

9. Support Services

Support is provided in accordance with the active subscription plan at the time of the support request. Support tiers, response times, and scope of assistance vary by plan and are described on our website.

Basic installation guidance may be included for a primary website under eligible plans. Extended, advanced, or multi-site support may require a separate service agreement or upgraded plan.

We reserve the right to limit, reduce, or withdraw support in cases of:

  • Abuse or harassment of support staff.
  • Excessive or unreasonable support demands disproportionate to the purchased plan.
  • Misuse of services or violation of these Terms.
  • Accounts under suspension or in breach of payment obligations.

Support is provided in English. Response times are targets, not guarantees, and may vary based on volume and complexity.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of WP Ghost is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We collect and process personal data only as described in our Privacy Policy and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Romanian and EU data protection laws.

By using our services, you consent to such processing and warrant that all data you provide is accurate. If you believe we have processed your data incorrectly, you may contact us to exercise your rights under GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree to use WP Ghost services only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms.

You agree not to:

  • Use WP Ghost services for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose.
  • Attempt to bypass, circumvent, or disable licensing systems, activation mechanisms, or usage limits.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble proprietary components of WP Ghost beyond rights expressly granted under the GPLv2 license.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or place excessive load on WP Ghost infrastructure, servers, or other users’ access.
  • Use WP Ghost to facilitate attacks, intrusions, or unauthorized access to any third-party systems.
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from WP Ghost systems without written authorization.
  • Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or authorization when using our services.

Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of your account and license without refund, and may be reported to relevant law enforcement authorities where appropriate.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software (excluding GPL-licensed components where applicable), design elements, trademarks, logos, documentation, and proprietary materials available through WP Ghost are the exclusive intellectual property of MINBO QRE SRL and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

Except where expressly permitted under the GPLv2 license or by prior written authorization from WP Ghost, you may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, redistribute, or republish any proprietary WP Ghost materials.
  • Use WP Ghost trademarks, logos, or branding in any manner without written authorization.
  • Create or distribute derivative works outside the scope of GPL permissions.
  • Sell, resell, sublicense, or distribute WP Ghost products on third-party marketplaces or websites without written authorization.

Any unauthorized redistribution, commercial resale, trademark misuse, or intellectual property infringement may result in:

  • Immediate suspension or permanent termination of your subscription and license.
  • Revocation of access to updates, downloads, and support.

If you believe any content on our website infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us with full details, including identification of the material in question and your ownership credentials, so we may investigate promptly.

13. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or permanently terminate your access to WP Ghost services, with or without prior notice, if:

  • Payment obligations are not met or a payment is reversed or disputed fraudulently.
  • You violate any provision of these Terms.
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity is detected on your account.
  • Your account poses a security or operational risk to WP Ghost or other users.

Upon termination, your license to use WP Ghost products is immediately revoked. You must cease all use of the software and delete any locally stored copies of proprietary components.

Suspension or termination does not entitle you to a refund unless expressly required by applicable law or our Refund Policy. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of termination by email where legally required or practicable.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • WP Ghost products and services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from vulnerabilities.
  • We do not guarantee that WP Ghost will prevent all hacking attempts, data breaches, or security incidents.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms is limited to the total amount you paid to WP Ghost in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of business, or reputational damage, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Romanian or EU consumer law.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WP Ghost, MINBO QRE SRL, its directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your use or misuse of WP Ghost services or products.
  • Your violation of any provision of these Terms.
  • Your breach of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Any third-party claims arising from websites or content you manage using WP Ghost.

This indemnification obligation survives termination of your account or subscription.

16. Sanctions Compliance

WP Ghost services are not available to individuals, entities, or organizations located in or operating from countries subject to international sanctions, including but not limited to sanctions imposed by the United Nations, the European Union, the United States (OFAC), or the United Kingdom.

We also do not provide services to individuals or entities listed on official government-issued prohibited or restricted parties lists.

We reserve the right to refuse, restrict, suspend, or terminate service at any time where a sanctions risk is identified, without liability and without refund where required by law.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. The most current version of these Terms is always available at wpghost.com/terms-of-use and is identified by the Effective Date at the top of the page.

We will notify users of material changes by posting a prominent notice on our website for at least 14 days before the changes take effect. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. We recommend bookmarking this page.

Your continued use of WP Ghost products or services after the effective date of any update constitutes your full acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using our services and cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, or the breach, termination, or validity thereof, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Romania.

If you are a consumer located in another EU member state, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence under applicable EU consumer protection law. Nothing in this clause limits those rights.
